From September 2022 to November 2025, I was a PhD student under the supervision of Beniamino Accattoli (LIX Partout, INRIA) and Giulio Manzonetto (IRIF, Université Paris Cité) [Previously also co-supervised by Claudia Faggian (IRIF, CNRS)].
I defended my PhD thesis on November 13th 2025 at the IRIF lab.

What happened to the conjectures? (section in progress)
-
Conjecture 3.5.7 is now Theorem 5 in Interaction Improvement (L., Manzonetto, McCusker and Vanoni). This also provides a proof of Conjecture 3.2.9.
We almost had everything ready as I was writing my thesis, but did you really want an additional 50 pages? -
Conjecture 7.5.10 will never grow up to be a theorem, as it is false.
Actually, net bisimilarity (as defined p.217) is not transitive (disproving the informal conjecture of p.217) and it is the same counterexample to conjecture 7.5.10. I have a new updated conjecture ready to be broken again.
Thanks to Jean-Marie Madiot for help in pinpointing the counterexample!
